Love both of these ornaments.

Hubby made these from an old Totara post.

Taking a little time.

Hello my friends.
I put a little bit of time aside from either wallpapering
or Christmas stitching, to stitch a little on my
 `I belong to a Cross stitch nation.`

Another flower, the word `Cross` and changed little man`s hair.

This Shepherd`s Bush Stocking is for our youngest grandson.

A couple of table runner`s for gifts.

The links to others that are doing the SAL with a difference.
Merry Christmas.
I hope there is some stitching time in your day.

Ornaments stitched

Hello my friends.
Here are two ornaments I have finished.

From the 2011 JCS Christmas Ornament magazine.
Christmas Tree Cat,
by Briittercup Designs.
For the trim it`s Moda Vera Yoyo yarn.
Kath has this now.:)

Merry Christmas Drum.
By Wendy Peatross.
JCS Christmas Ornaments 2018 issue.

Once I had stitched design I counted 6 threads from the bottom
and back stitched over 2 in green across. At the top I counted 10 threads
back stitching again. This helped with the button hole stitch I used to
join the top and bottom pieces which are plastic circles covered with wool felt.
The top circle has a hole in it so the ribbon could come through for hanging.
The drum sticks are burnt match sticks, washed, with beads attached with sticky glue.
I am so pleased with this.
Well back on with my day, part of which is carrying on wallpapering.
Still haven`t found the first lot so with a few dollars off we paid $600 for more!
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

A little Man

Hello my friends.
The flowers of a lemon tree.
I have not noticed these before,
they are so pretty.

The weeks have gone by so quickly.
Time to show my stitching for
SAL with a difference.
I have stitched little man with mustard coat
and blue tie and hat trim.
Not really a mustard girl but fits in well.

I have my Christmas stitching to carry on with,
plus we are putting up new wallpaper in dining and lounge.
Please visit with these other SAL stitchers.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Stitching a little more

Hello my friends,
These last few weeks I have been sewing and stitching.
First a little more on
`I belong to a Cross Stitch Nation`.
I have started on the man`s coat but still not sure of
stitching the navy!! Not sure if this will show up.

Some more of the flower border at the top and a word.
As this is the SAL with a difference Sunday I have put links at the bottom
of this post for you to visit the other`s who have joined as well.
I hope you have time to see what progress they have done.

Completed this months Delbrook block.
Using the no waste method for flying geese was
interesting to do. Worked out putting a pin in only one layer
helped getting centre points to sit right.

By the time we got the camera Peanut had stopped licking
the rain water dripping into the drum.
The neighbour rang to say she had a Oppossum
hiding in her porch.

Well that`s my stitching for now.
I have brought an iPad and been learning things on that.
Taking up stitching time.:)

block made

Hello my friends.
This months block for $25 quilt was
sewn on my new machine.

We picked up the quilting table top yesterday
and put together.
Have two extra feet to come plus a few more lessons.

I keep looking for the hook to lift foot and also
to cut threads then remember to press button for
scissor snip in machine plus to lift foot.:)

New toy to play with

Hello my friends,
Made a few more project bags.
Love storing my stitching these.

My Mum left me some money,
so I look at this as a gift from her.
I`m excited but a little sad too.
A new sewing machine that I`ve only just brought home.
It`s on the dining table till quilting unit put in place.:)
I forgot to bring the quilting table attachment home with me!
I will pick it up the next time I`m up that way,

during this week. Once a speacial birthday for our
youngest daughter has been, I can play with my new toy. :)

This is how Tillie sleeps when on the floor.
Looks like she`s saying her prayers before sleep.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

SAL with a difference

Hello my friends.
I thought Avis`s SAL would be great way to finish
a few of my stitching projects
and also later start something new.
So contact Avis to find out more if you are interested.
We stitch our own project which is the difference,
showing progress or finish  every third Sunday.
Since I have only recently joined I thought to show my project
which will be :
`I belong to a cross stitch nation`
by Heartstring Samplery.

I have changed the trousers to grey and thread to red,
but may a just that too.
So will show progress again on this 21st.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
