Always something on the go

Another month nearly gone! I have been stitching and over the next few weeks hope to show what I`ve been stitching patchworking and quilting. Some joining of blocks on my sewing machine and quilt tops complete, only quilting to be done.

`Where My Heart Is` - Island Cottage Needle Arts.
I  stitched on Platium with suggested Sampler Threads. I am stitching different heart patterns to have a basket full. I wonder how long that will take! The buttons are 7gypsies,smoke. They are really tiny. I brought them in Hamilton a few years back at the craft fair which is now held in Auckland.

My finished LHN `My Needles Work`. I stitched with suggested colours on antique white 28ct. Plus I stitched half cross stitches round the roster with crescent colours `Old Blue Jeans`. I am in the process of making this a stand alone. When totally complete will add this with some others.

Progress on my SKof W. Really pleased how this is coming together and I`m finishing blocks etc on time.
Thankyou for visiting and hope you enjoyed the work I have shown.
Till next time Happy Stitching,
 Clare.

Julys nearly gone.

This month has been so busy. My Mum turned 80 on the 14th so 66 adults and 14 children helped her Celebrate this speacil birthday. Most of them family with only a few friends. I think we have been winding down since as it was full on catching up with everyone. No photos as yet.

I  found a new blog to visit  `Cottage Garden Samplings` has opened an online shop plus a giveaway which ends 30th July. I hope you can find this as have no link for you yet. I hope someone I know wins the lovely giveaways. I love to have won this one but don`t think my answers went through. Pity.

I thought it was about time I showed you what I did with part of freebie pattern from `Primitive Hare` `Sister Stitcher`. I made into a small hold all for Lyn (her blog: stitches from the mainland) as a birthday gift. Plus a little cushion which I thinks has wool stuffing in in case she wishes to use for a pin cushion. I also made a matching blockroll. As you can see there is plenty of pockets for Lyn to use. there is a scissor fob as well. I hope you enjoy many hours using these Lyn. I enjoyed making this lovely set.

I have anothe gift or two on the go so will show them at a later posting when I know they have recieved their parcels. This month has gone so fast and still have a little more on my SKof W before blogging on that.
The moblie phone network for my type of phone is closing down so have to change my phone completely which is sad for me as this was a gift for a special birthday and I know how to use it. Have a new phone only need to set up so don`t loose my number and contacts but more lessons coming up. My youngest daughter is coming tommorrow to help me!
Friday night two of my friends are going to `Heirlooms` (Barberryrow) for a look at Sherelyns beautiful stitching displays and the latest pattens that she purchased while in the USA earlier in the year. I know I will have some retail therapy while there and come home with some lovely ideas. Usually a `With My Needle` is is one of the designs I look out for.
Hope to get another post in before the end of the month so thankyou for visiting. Look forward to your comments.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
