Hello everyone. I hope you enjoy your visit with me today.
Since last time I`ve completed two quilt tops. The first is my `Trade my Talent` charity quilt for a fund raiser to help our youth group at our Church.
I used Stella Whittinghams pattern `Take Time out to Smell the Flowers` from Australian Country Threads Vol 8 #11. Instead of a 1" strip for the first border I folded it to make it a`peek a boo` border and I`ll use the same fabric for my binding
The second is my Some Kind of Wonderful quilt top. I`ve really enjoyed making this quilt. Part of the enjoyment has been part of the SKofW SAL. I changed a few blocks and have used fabrics from my stash to make it. It`s nice to see them bring this quilt together and I can enjoy the fabric rather than in the draw. Now I`ve only to find my backing fabric as have wadding for both quilts in the cupboard. When I`ve finished quilting I`ll show them.
I`m off back to my sewing machine to finish a few gifts that have been put on the back burner.
Thanks for the lovely comments on my last post and hope you will visit again soon.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
