Quilt tops

Hello everyone. I hope you enjoy your visit with me today.
Since last time I`ve completed two quilt tops. The first is my `Trade my Talent` charity quilt for a fund raiser to help our youth group at our Church.

I used Stella Whittinghams pattern `Take Time out to Smell the Flowers` from Australian Country Threads Vol 8 #11. Instead of a 1" strip for the first border I folded it to make it a`peek a boo` border and I`ll use the same fabric for my binding

The second is my Some Kind of Wonderful quilt top. I`ve really enjoyed making this quilt. Part of the enjoyment has been part of the SKofW SAL. I changed a few blocks and have used fabrics from my stash to make it. It`s nice to see  them bring this quilt together and I can enjoy the fabric rather than in the draw. Now I`ve only to find my backing fabric as have wadding for both quilts in the cupboard. When I`ve finished quilting I`ll show them.
I`m off back to my sewing machine to finish a few gifts that have been put on the back burner.
Thanks for the lovely comments on my last post and hope you will visit again soon.
Happy Stitching,

  1. Lovely Clare - you have been busy. I'm looking forward to seeing what quilting you do :-)

  2. Well Done Clare, you have been a very busy girl. I too have been busy but not the sewing kind.I hope to get some rows joined for SKOW on the weekend...x

  3. Congratulations Clare on two beautiful finishes. The stitchery flowers on the first quilt are lovely.
Some Kind of Wonderful is 'absolutely wonderful'. Your stitching and fabric choices are beautiful!
