Joining in with Birthday fun

Hello my friends.

This weekend I am joining in with Chookyblues 

5 years Birthday Celebration`s .

A weekend of stitching time. :)

No champagne for me as will be using my cutter .

That`s alright as I usually only drink juice or fizzy. :)

I made a zipper bag with

 Thread Gathering stitching project .

A useful finish,this has been sitting awhile to be completed.

Out of the UFO pile. :)

Wonder what I will store in this one. 

Well back to more stitching,cutting or sewing

 and another post tomorrow.

We have a Fire Brigade 2017 Honour`s Celebration 

evening tonight so will sew till need to get ready for that. :)

My Stitching and

Hello my friends.

Nearing the end of the month so I will show a few more projects

I have been working on. 

I started my circle of friends 

`Threads that Bind`

a The Drawn Thread design.

I could not help myself starting this one. :)

I did make a mistake with Ruby Slipper thread.

This meant I didn`t have enough so while looking for another of the same

I saw WDW Brick.

I am using that in this section and will go back 

and use in the other space`s as well.

I also enjoy stitching BBD design patterns 

hence started this lovely design,

It`s Spring Fever .

I like kitting up my projects but found if put aside for any reason I

sometimes miss placed the threads 

and when found wondered what design they where meant for .

So now I`ve started putting them on rings with

these labels.

 I am also stitching a few fobs and things for friends

 so once they have received their gifts I will show those too.

In a few months time we are going on an overseas trip

 to see my Pen Pal of 50 years who lives in USA .

So when I saw this daylight lamp I had to get one.

Very compact.

It takes batteries and extends up

A safety cap over the magnifier .

Plus it`s so light. :)

Country Blues Progress

Hello my friends.

At last the Country Blues put together .

We have a busy weekend but hope to sort fabric 

for backing this quilt early next week.

Looking forward to quilting this lovely blue quilt.

I have ordered the called for threads and will look at 

my linen stash for kitting up. 

My thoughts are to stitch the lady first.

  

Last block of Country Blues.

I have sewn the centre pieces of this mystery but 

waiting on a little more fabric to finish border blocks.

Once this has been done I will show layout.

May even have this one quilted.

This coming weekend we have Ezekiel coming to stay.

On the 28th he will be 9 months old.

He loves to roll.

Knitting and stitching

Hello my friends.

Some of my finished knitting.

These Sox I sent to one of my sisters for her birthday.

These are the first pair I`ve finished.

NAKO wool a blend of Mohair,wool and acrylic.

The others are still work in progress.

Hope to have those finished soon. :)

I also sent this scissor fob.

Threads: DMC Perle 12  # 3042

CGT 915 Wisteria.

White 32 count.

I was part of a class with Sherelyn of Heirloom`s.

Family is away this weekend so have time for me.

ANZAC

Hello my friends.

Today 25th April we remember the fallen soldiers.

There was rain this morning for the Dawn Service.

A poppy to remember the fields the soldiers died in.

This afternoon I cut out and sewed my block 8 

of  $25 quilt.

Omnigrid marking ruler. love this little tool.

The packet has three of these in different sizes.

My pencil lines to stitch on to make my half square triangles.

My finished block.

Put away in a block roll ready for next month.

Two HST  with pattern matching till seam sewn.

The pieces of fabric given with the block my cutting gave me this :)

Well more stitching soon.

Busy Month

Hello my friends.

Since my last post things have been busy round here.

I have been knitting in the evenings and secret stitching 

to show soon.

Tillie in the old fish tank. Fish are long gone :)

Silly pussy cat.

My Easter door stop in the laundry. 

I think she`s cute. Paid $3 for her :)

The two older grandchildren helping their Gampop

to build a new shed this last week,the first week of the school holidays.

The youngest in the highchair his daddy used all those years ago.

I got this lovely design but miss judged starting point,

so now need to start again as could`nt fit his head in. Grr.

Used all the kit thread too at least it was DMC so

can come from stash secound time round.

Well must sign off but have some stitching nearly ready to

show. That will be next time.
