Quilting and stitching.

Hello my friends.
This Tui was in one of our gum trees lining the drive.

My Christmas Tree ornament
Sampler Tree 111
by JBW Designs.
for  `Christmas Ornie 2015`.
This one is for September.

I have also joined again for
 Chookyblues  SSCS 2015. :)
I have sorted my patterns to make my gifts
for my swap partner.
Stitching to begin soon.

I need a little more quilting hours on
my SAL `Nature`s Journey`.

Once I had this laid out to pin
a little furry lady friend decided to help.
NOT!!!

Some progress done.
I`ve stitched in the ditch to hold and then as my
machine does not like the bulky edges
( it changes to zig zag)
I find it easier to bind.
Still alright for the quilting
and binding doesn`t go a miss.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Weekend Sewing

Hello my friends.
This last weekend and then today
I worked on my
`Nature`s Journey`
SAL quilt.

My little helper.

Checkered border.

A few of these where fussy cut in the centre of nine patch blocks
making up the checkered border.

The applique border.
I moved some to different parts as backgrounds,
as looked better that way.

Outer pieced check border with paisley fabric added in.

Quilt top complete.
Now to get backing as have wadding
and quilting to begin.
I hope to complete this in time.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Steps 3 - 5

Hello my friends,
these last few weeks have gone so fast.
We are putting new carpet down
and the master bedroom is done. :)
Sorting out where things go while doing this has taken time
and quite a lot of packing.
Like moving house!
But I made time to stitch.
I have completed Steps 3 -5 of Sue Daley`s SAL.

Step 3 was adding a round of  dark blue  shapes to the centre.

Then step 4 was these flower shapes.
While I stitched one the other covered hexagons
I used paper clips to hold them together for each flower.

Six flowers made ready for step 5.
I put them in place looking forward to step showing how to join.

Step 5 has been  attaching 12 creme hexagons around the flower shapes.

Then attaching round the centre piece.
Step 6 is this week but I need to go shopping!

Thankyou for visiting.
I will be posting again soon.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
