All those years ago

Hello my friends.
Today is our Wedding anniversary.
34 years ago we married at 11am.
The cover of our Wedding Album.
Here is a little part of our day back then.

This is me just before heading  to the church

Photos taken in the park not far from the church.

These where taken before the reception.

At the reception this was our cake.
`Two hearts joined together`.

With Hubby resting from his eye operation,
today will be low key for us.
Happy Stitching,

At last

Hello my friends.
Time for my `2014 Smalls SAL`
for May.

At last I have finish this month a stitchery that has been on the
 `To do list` to finish.
`Holy Night` by Shepherds Bush.
Stitched with Perl`e 5 in colours suggested.
I made this up as a bell pull to hang for Christmas.

I have taken close up photos:

I am so glad to be in SAL as finding projects in my cupboard
are being finished :)
Hubby`s finding things a bit boring!
The eye drops he takes seem to make him have little naps
during the day.
He watches TV and reads library books with his good eye
but not for long.
Well best get our dinner dished up.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Up date and new addition

Hello my friends.
I seem to be out of bed each morning in a rush lately.
Hubby had another operation on his left eye.
The surgeon took out the lens and put oil in which in another
10 weeks will be replaced. Another operation for him.
Then recovery from that so hopefully back at work the end of September!
Our new addition to our family is:
`TILLIE`

So cute when asleep.

Checking every thing out but my stitching which I do not let her get at.

Some of the progress on `The fold`.
Since this photo I have had a frog come visiting.
Hope to sort soon.
I am also fitting in other projects :)
Well must go and sort the washing.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Aprils smalls

Hello my friends.
I`m a little behind on my posting as my computer
had a checkup and then I  had a scan on my left shoulder
yesterday,so no time to post!

My Small for April was this lovely needle roll
`Botanical Sewing Pocket and Fob`.
A `Chessie & Me` design.
Love the fabrics that came in this kit.
This folds in three to close with a cord.

The front with flowers and alphabet
on the checked linen.
Weeks Dye Works threads as suggested:
Bullfrog, Cadet, Cranberry Ice, Grasshopper,
Linen, Rose Quartz and Whiskey.
The next three photos are of the flowers.

The center which I changed slightly but still using the pattern
as had plenty of checked linen in kit to do so.
Plus there was no waste left.

On the fob is a `bee` but I am still fond of my
`cat` made from another of Linda`s patterns.
Found some gold handled scissors to attach fob to.

Instead of pins and needles sharing a place I separated them to each side.
The pins I used `Lilly of the Valley` flower.

For the needle flap I kept to patterns flower.

Hope you have enjoyed this short visit with me.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
PS: Hubby`s vision improving but still has time off work.
Waiting for another checkup appointment with surgeon.
