October Ornament

Hello my friends.
October is near its end.
This ornament is my one for October @
Christmas Ornie SAL 2015.
`HOPE`

I used threads from my stash,
Cottage Garden Thread : Tool Shed,
Sampler Thread : Ye Old Gold
and DMC : 310 to make my cord.

The pattern came from this years
`Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments` magazine.
Page 63 `Needle Bling Design.
As you can see I`ve threads for projects I`d love to stitch.
Not sure if all will be done but the threads are waiting to be used!

Our grandchildren came to stay and placed
my  draught stopper to stop Max coming any further. :)
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Further steps

Hello my friends,
My Christmas stitching is coming along
 but nothing to show yet!!

Miss Tillie`s paw against this tiny mouse.

Here you can see the difference in size.
As you may have guessed mouse is no more,
hiding did not help.

Step 6 with creme hexagons around step 7.

Step 8 is a row of a mixture leaving the dark out.
I am waiting on a little more fabric for two lots
of 24 hexagons. I hope that they will be here by the end of the week.
We are putting new carpet down in stages.
This week some of my fabric, magazines and BOMs,
plus embroidery needs are being packed away
from the end room, a clutter in there.
These boxes are not going in the shed!!
Our bedroom has carpet down,
so soft under foot.
I must get back to stitching though.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Smiling

Hello my friends.
I am smiling as my `Nature`s Journey`
is finished. :)

I pegged my quilt to the deck.
A slight breeze but was able to take these photos.

Then turned quilt around to the back
where the quilting shows the best.
I have machine quilted more on this quilt
than others that have been done.

My label using a heart as there are hearts in the quilt.
Thankyou to Chookyblue and Susan for SAL.
Also Anni Downs for designing the pattern.
I have enjoyed this journey.

Mis Tillie saying her prayers. :)

The letter `A` for my Christmas bunting
by `Rosalie Quinlan designs`.
Sorting fabric to make this up.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.

Quilting Along

Hello my friends.
I thought I`d show a little of my quilting
on `Nature`s Journey` SAL.
I had my top finished by the dead line,
but more quilting to do before complete.
This is taking `time`.
Only meals and a few breaks  like sleep !!

I cross hatched the centre by machine,
then placed on my quilting hoop to hand quilt
the applique, except circle and hexagon
which I did as free motion with the sewing machine.

I am working on the checker board border
with free motion flowers and leaves.
Looks good on the back :)
A few places to reverse stitch
as still learning free motion quilting.

Soon this will be finished,
so will post about that in the next day or so.
Happy Stitching,
Clare.
